V Wine Room

West Hollywood

Welcome to V Wine Room!

V Wine Room first opened its doors on February 9, 2013.  The concept for V Wine Room was to be a true tasting room and wine bar, like those found in California wine country, New York City and European wine bars; and therefore, unlike any other space in West Hollywood or the LA area.  Our mission is to bring boutique California wines and craft beer to Los Angeles, to offer an extensive list of wines by-the-glass, provide wine flights and a wine education in a relaxed atmosphere for people to enjoy with friends and family.

V Wine Room Offers:

  • Over 80 wines by the glass

  • Over 200 wines by the bottle

  • 4 taps of fine craft beer

  • Wine flights

  • Private Events

  • Special in-house events, open to the public

  • Wine education

  • Access to local, boutique winemakers

  • A unique wine club

  • A casual, unpretentious atmosphere

  • 1930’s library-themed speak-easy

  • Unique curated cheese, chocolates, and charcuterie selections

  • Special wine orders and gifting

  • Knowledgable staff

Our History

V Wine Room is housed in a historic building, which served as a library to the unincorporated area of Los Angeles County, known as Sherman, from 1929-1941.  Before this, Charlie Chaplin originated the space as an actors studio.  Since, the building has been used for a variety of retail activities after the 1940’s until becoming vacant in the late 2000s.

Founder Michael “Mikey” Consbruck wanted to revive the history of the building when designing the space, which is why you see bookshelves housing wine, books, dark library inspired furniture, a marble bar and vanities much like a 30’s checkout desk in a New York public library, vintage styled lighting and book wallpaper throughout.

A quick glance through the room will reveal a refurbished card catalogue which houses guest’s “library cards.”  Make sure to ask your wine specialist for your own card.

V Wine Room is proud to represent very small producers from California.  There are over 3,000 wineries in California, many of which produce 2,500 cases of wine or less for the entire year.  Some of these small producers don’t even have a tasting room and rely on their wine club almost exclusively for sales.  V Wine Room acts as an extension of these wineries. We enjoy telling their stories to our guests.

We also have a small selection of unique international wines that we preview on Tuesdays as a fun change of pace.

Please enjoy our space, the wines and our knowledgeable staff.  We are here to answer questions and help make your visit with us that much more memorable.
